The climate of the
Maldives is warm throughout the year. The monsoons affect the
weather in general though they are mild and tempered by the
equator, unlike the situation in some neighboring countries. The
southwest monsoon blows from through October and brings some
wind and precipitation. The northeast monsoon blows from
November through April and is usually sunny. The Maldives is
usually warm, humid and sunny throughout the year. Average
temperature fluctuates between 24 and 32 degrees Celsius.
Average
annual rainfall is at about 2000 millimeters with about 3000
hours of sunshine. |
